Hotel in St. Christina Dolomites
Your Hotel in the Heart of Val Gardena
Our Hotel Touring is located in the town center of St. Christina, in the heart of Val Gardena. The 25-kilometer-long Val Gardena stretches between Waidbruck in the west and Sella in the east. Val Gardena is part of the Dolomites of South Tyrol, those pale gray, towering mountain giants that have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The central location of our hotel is the perfect starting point for excursions into the impressive mountain landscape, whether it's for hiking and mountain biking in the summer or skiing in the winter.
To the north of Val Gardena, you will find the mountain peaks of Raschötz, Seceda, Stevia, and Puez-Geisler. To the east are the Cirspitzen, the Gardena Pass, and the Sella Group. The southern part of Val Gardena is dominated by the Langkofel Group, Ciampinoi, Monte Pana, Alpe di Siusi, and the Schlern Group. To the west is the Puflatscher Alm. Val Gardena has a variety of modern lift systems that can be comfortably used with the Dolomiti Superski ski pass in winter. Many of these cable cars are also available to hikers and mountain bikers in the summer.
The inhabitants of Val Gardena speak German, Italian, and Ladin. Therefore, it is not uncommon to see names and designations in three different languages. Traditional customs are particularly important to us in Val Gardena. These include magnificent traditional costumes, folk music, inherited Dolomite legends, and of course, the famous woodcarving art. In the numerous woodcarving workshops of Val Gardena, the wood of the Swiss stone pine is primarily used, which is abundant in the forests of Val Gardena.
With its central location in the town center of St. Christina, Hotel Touring is the ideal starting point in both winter and summer months.
